Christina Michaels (chrismichaels) | 14 comments I don’t know if y’all are watching the reading review formations right now, but GJ tried to start a new genre and is swarmed with requests. I want to hi five this mod for working so hard to not only try a new thing, but also for making a second group when 20 of us appeared in one day!

Many thanks to G.J.

I wanted to second what Christina said, but now I guess I'll just have to third it...

Thanks, G.J.

Shucks! Gawrsh! This is so embarrassing - because I had no idea that these messages were here, until I took a look at the home site. It was to find out if Trish was correct recently when she said that E.M. told her of the "correct etiquette" in Review group was to buy the mod's book as a token of thanks for "hard work done"!!

1. I do not expect anything from the members of any group I have managed, except maybe a brief "Thank You" afterwards.
2. I'm not sure I approve of such an unspoken (?) gesture since I have always moderated to help out when I have enough time. Regretfully life gets in the way sometimes so it's not as often as I would like - thus, my absence for a few months!
3. I am still not sure such a thing exists within this group and would hope that Emma can provide some clarity about it.

But thanks for the comments, Christina, Trish and Joel :-)

Emma Jaye | 3693 comments Definitely not a compulsory or even a remotely expected gesture, GJ, but if people want to say thank you in this way, as long as they don't leave a reciprocal review, it gives me the warm fuzzies to know we're appreciated.

To be fair, here is E.M.'s exact wording from the current reading round I'm in...
"Please consider downloading one of my books and/or one of the round mod’s books as a thank you for all the hard work we put in for the group."
'correct etiquette' just my British terminology/translation. Actually, wish I had thought of doing it myself but went back over other two rounds I've been in and corrected that. Seems fair to me, but only if you have the budget.

Also FYI after buying the books from the round (my choice) and one from E.M. I got a $2.88 voucher from Amazon, something to do with great reads or something. So there's that!

You are all appreciated - especially you Emma! Ha ha ha!!

Trish
