What a great idea to post the quarterly and monthly challenges early! That will be such a tremendous help for planning what to read throughout the year!
Yayyyy!!!

Hahaha, totally with you, Natalie! BTW, popsugar for 2019 is already out if that's one you're interested in.

Typing new stuff into my 2018 spreadsheet doesn't count! *coughs

It absolutely doesn't count, especially if you're just editing your full 2018 list with 2019 at the bottom, as I am doing. ;)

Hahahaha! I also needed to organize two series of books, one which I'm reading out of publication order and Stephen King's The Dark Tower, for which aficionados suggest an extended reading list.
I had to start a new sheet, but it's still the same spreadsheet.
May I ask what you've been doing at the bottom of your 2018 list?

Planned out my Popsugar and ATY books (both novels and graphic novels). About to add the TBR Jar challenge just because it would help to know what specific books I'll be reading for that and where they fit into the other challenges.
And then I'm going to make another sheet with all the books I can use for multiple challenges to see how much I should expect of myself next year challenge-wise.
But it's all the same document. haha
Can't wait until the Member Corners comes up. I think I'll organize mine a bit differently than I did this year.

I've copied--um, emulated, our mod Kristin and already typed up my 2019 PopSugar, Serial Reader, and one other challenge at the bottom of my 2018 Member's Corner. Hehehe
I feel like I'm still okay though. Once I start a "real" spreadsheet, I'll feel compelled to type in all the books' page lengths. I like to alternate between long and short books to promote a sense of progress. ;-)
Absolutely must stop now, though. lol

It is, thanks! I've started a spreadsheet for that one already, and one for "Around the Year in 52 books". I just feel that I can't properly plan without my "2019 Reading Challenge" thread in this group 8'D

Oh, you've started your spreadsheet already! *resists the temptation
Haha, I've downloaded one but am waiting to "actually" start it.

If the threads for next year's various challenges will start being unrolled from mid-November, will news of this year's December challenges be announced around the same time?
Just wondering. : )

The December 2018 + the January 2019 & 2019 Q1 challenges will be posted around the same time. The December challenges *may* be posted a few days before or at the same time, but not after the January & Q1 challenges...."
Thank you! Still two more weeks left in November, but the year has been flying by!

Thank you for all you do to make reading all the more fun, meaningful, and rewarding for us all!
I am even more excited about 2019 when I can start all the great challenges from the very beginning.
Yes, I'm gushing! :D

Agreed! Thank you mods!

I'm laughing to myself as I read this, because I am currently working on my 2019 spreadsheet.... setting it up... working on listing the books I want to be sure to read.. a little more specific than my "To Read" list here on Goodreads.

Planning is so much fun. After the initial, giddy rush of adding all the books I want to read, I am now taking a more sober look at my choices, pruning some that won't work for multiple challenges, and so forth. And I might even have started a list for next year with my 2019 rejects... *whistles innocently

I'm sorry Kylie, but that won't be an official challenge for 2019, but if you would like, you are welcome to see if anyone would like to join you in an "unofficial Every Year Challenge" in our new Blogs/Vlogs, Events and Challenges Folder

And I just found it - apparently, there is more than one page of challenges and it was on the second page - yikes!!!

That is because we are running 2018 and 2019 right now. Our group is a bit crowded, but come January 1, things will start to get more organized.

Yes! I also had a late start in 2018. Can't wait to smash my goal in 2019. Good luck!

We have our personal challenge threads, but if you would like to set the Goodreads Challenge, you will have to wait until January 1.

It's that time--we are going to start preparing for 2019.
To answer some questions:
- Yes, the group will continue into 2019!
- Yes, we will archive all of your 2018 challenges and corners so you don't lose your info!

We are excited and hope you are too. You'll notice that the group name just changed to reflect that it'll continue on next year. Please post any questions you may have about the transition here.
