OK, this installment in the Nightrunner series had a much narrower plot line, focusing on Seregil’s and Alec’s enslavement in Plenimar. Yes, the story moved along, but with a fair amount of repetition.

And the “child”—what a creature! Amazing powers, and I am sure, given the epilogue, it will be a focus as the series moves forward. I don’t know think Yhakobin really knew what he was doing.

And Ilar escapes? That certainly may have some implications for the future as well.
