R.J. Covington | 7 comments I keep getting rejected in my efforts to join the Goodreads Author program. I keep filling out the information, but I receive a rejection notice that really is not telling me what I have done incorrectly.
I use my registered email address, I use the address of my publishing company, I use a link to my novel on Amazon. I don't use the facebook link because my novel page is tied to my publicist's personal account and I published under a pseudonym - so that won't be helpful at all. Is there another way to verify that I am the author or am I doing something wrong on my entry that I need to fix.

Your application to the Goodreads Author Program has unfortunately not been successful. This is most likely because you haven’t supplied us with enough information to verify that you are the author. Please ensure that you provide the following information when applying again:
• Your email address linked to your Goodreads account.
• Please include your Kindle Direct Publishing email address, if applicable.
• Email address of your most recent publisher or agent. If self-published, indicate “Self-Published Author.”
• Link to a publisher site (such as Amazon, Createspace, Smashwords, etc.) that confirms your book(s) have been or will be published.
• To verify you as quickly as possible, we recommend connecting your Goodreads account to your Facebook account.
• If some titles on the Goodreads author profile for which you are applying are not yours, please list each book that should be moved.

Hi RJ

Well, it is interesting seeing what the 'decline' note looks like.

But we are volunteers who do the book cataloging, edit quotes & stuff like that. We can't help.

But, saying that I would message Support back & give your reasons for not wanting to use your Facebook account. It might help.

R.J. Covington | 7 comments thank you

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 9386 comments have you tried contacting them via the normal contact form?
I'd try that if the other one doesn't work.

But as Carol said we can't help with that, we have no connection to GR internal database.

Yes, I just did that and thank you for the link. I'm new on the site and I apologize as I actually thought I was contacting technical support!

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 9386 comments No need to apologize, unfortunately we're not. But you're not the first one :)

Fingers crossed they will sort that out for you quickly.
