However, your rant is all too true.

What was that quote by Eleanor Roosevelt? “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent"? I believe words can be degrading (contrary to 'sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can never hurt me') but at the end of the day, the statement (of words can never hurt me) is kind of true. What people 'say' doesn't determine who you are, it's all in the mindset. If you let their words determine who you are, then it will hurt. If you choose not to let their words determine who you are, it doesn't sting (kind of the point Eleanor was making). Regardless, people, (of course), shouldn't say those things. 'Do unto others as you would do unto you'---- but anyway.....

I'm digressing WAY too far from the main point of the rant. :P
