As of Friday, I'm at 26/50 prompts.
I found the reading challenge on Pinterest and was intrigued. I liked the idea of reading different genres or things out of my comfort zone. Plus, I read 30 books in 2014 and was looking for a bit of a nudge to increase that in 2015. I'm still leaning toward reading 50 instead of 52 (by counting each of the books in the trilogy as its own prompt) but time will tell.

This week, I finished The Accident, which wasn't as great as I was hoping, but still a decent, easy read with an accurate description of survivor's guilt and how we are influenced by the people around us. Anyway, I ended up filing it under an author with the same initials, which I didn't even notice until I finished reading it, so that's convenient. :) I also started Looking For Alaska before the week ended.
I was on vacation this weekend, so I just got started on The Book of Lost Things today for a book set somewhere I want to visit, although I guess that doesn't really count for this post. Nevertheless, I'm into the second chapter, and I'm already fascinated with the writing and storyline.
I also checked out Death & Co., but am unsure where to place it, so I may have to move things around.
To answer your question, I learned about the challenge from Tumblr. Pretty sure it was epicreads that reblogged it. I'd been wanting to read more and figured this would be a fun way to push myself a bit more. The group is even better, because it keeps me accountable. :)

I heard about this challenge through pinterest, decided to go for it because I am trying to read more books.

I found out about the PopSugar Reading Challenge on Pinterest and then after a search found this group on Goodreads. And I'm loving it, I hope they do it again next year with different categories. I love that I'm reading things I usually wouldn't.

I heard about this challenge on wordpress and decided to do it because I knew I would read over 50 books this year anyway so why not make it fun? It's led me to two new favorites as well so that's cool. ^_^

I found the challenge on tumblr. Reblogged it because it sounded interesting, wasn't really going to do it but I kept thinking about it. But I'm pretty big on doing challenges (NaNoWriMo, and a book photo challenge last November) I think my mom later found it independently, and we told my sister about it, and now we're all doing it together, which is fun.

This is on my TBR list as well. A friend just finished it and absolutely loved it.

I put Eleanor and Park in the category "a book set in high school". Maybe that will work if you haven't already used that one?

I've read 28 books so far. I saw the PopSugar challenge on Facebook back in January.

I am also about 1 hour into "a Pulitzer prize winning book"

I found out about the challenge through pintrest last year. Decided to do the challenge for fun and as a way to expand my horizon. It's a way for me to pick up books I wouldn't normally read.

Now I have started my book published in the year I was born (1989!): The Remains of the Day, but I'm really not far into it yet.
I think I actually found out about the challenge when someone posted it on Facebook. At first I thought it sounded great but I could never make it to 52 books, but it turns out that this challenge is great motivation and I'm already at 42! :)

You can probably use "Elanore and Park" for your "book that takes place in high-school" prompt if you haven't used it yet

I heard about this c..."
Planning on using "All the Light We Cannot See" for my 500 page prompt also. Just picked it up at Target last week.

I have started reading On the Road which has been on my TBR forever.. But I doubt I'll be able to read much this week since I'm really busy with university.
I heard about this challenge through youtube and thought it was a great idea. I have not been reading much the past 1-2 years but now I'm loving it again!

I also read The Remains of the Day for a book that was published the year I was born. I was born in 1988 though :)

I also read Paper Towns by John Green, which I had to read for my daughter's book club. I really liked it, but not sure where to put it on the list - maybe book you own but haven't read yet.
I'm currently reading Child 44, and I'm at 25/52 books so far.
I heard about the challenge on Pinterest. I thought it sounded fun - but I would probably have given up weeks ago if not for this group, so Thanks, Everyone!

I found about the challenge on Pinterest and I joined Goodreads in the middle of January. I was searching for a group to join and I was so happy when I found this one!

@ Alycia: Paper Towns is becoming a movie this summer, if you don't already have one for that prompt.

I have read 21 books so far. I feel like I am losing my momentum though. Each books takes me longer and longer to read. I found the PopSugar reading challenge on Pinterest. I thought this would be a good way to branch out to other genres I avoid.

Ariel, that's a great idea! I had used Serena by Ron Rash as my "book turned into a movie", but If I move that to "one word title", I'm all set. Thanks! And we'll definitely be seeing that movie this summer.

Week 18 is in the books (ha ha -- that's a little reading humor for you). How did the week go for you? What books did you finish or start reading or keep reading? Where are you in relation to your reading goal?
For a fun question, how did you hear about the PopSugar Reading Challenge? What made you decide to go for it?
