Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I know I find or hear something at least once a day that makes me think, "WTF?!!" (sometimes the acronym, sometimes the phrase).

A friend sent me this link today. This is definitely a WTF?!!

What about you? Did anything make you think "WTF?!!" today?

message 2: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments coincidence. i just posted a link to that video in the 'favorite things' thread. wtf seems to me the only correct reaction.

message 3: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Yeah that did.

message 4: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments just saw this link from SarahPi on another thread.

the Pat Robinson / Haiti story made me go WTHeck

message 5: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Me too, Kevin!

message 6: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments Ew! Icky, Icky, Icky! I saw that on a tattoo documentary a few months ago. Saw the needle go in and everything. Friggin wigged me out to no end.

Kev, is WTH a slightly milder version of WTF, when something isn't quite as strange?

message 7: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Okay, how about a cute WTF... H(eck)?!! instead. :)

message 8: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments My cat used to do that to my sweaters. It's a throwback from when they were kittens. Yea, it creeped me out too, in an 'aw cute' kind of way.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I had a cat that would do that to the down comforter, and drool like crazy. Sorta cute, sorta weird.

I have that sort or reaction to Robby licking his fur off furniture. He sheds.

message 11: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I had one that did it on an afgan that my mother had knitted. She made a gross brown stain on it.

message 12: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments one of our cats did that too, to his sister. he was stronger so she had to walk around with a wet belly half of the time.

message 13: by Dan (new)

Dan Schwent (akagunslinger) My neighbor used to have two cats that would lick the same spot on the carpet every day until they fell asleep with their heads on top of it. After he replaced the carpet, they stopped. I wish he would have saved the section containing the spot so we could have had it analyzed.

message 14: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments We have neighbor cats that have adopted us and whenever they come over for some good scritching they drool aaaaalll over the place. I always have wet spots on my jeans when I've been petting them. I wonder if it's a breed thing like with Mastiffs.

Dan, that is so weird? I bet that spot had a whole bag of catnip dropped on it once.

message 16: by Mary (last edited Jan 13, 2010 03:19PM) (new)

Mary (madamefifi) I am soooooo confused--how did the topic segue from eyeball tats (no thanks) to cats (yes please!)? Not that I'm complaining, drooling animals are way more interesting than(though perhaps not that dissimilar from) White Power prison inmates ensuring that they will never ever mainstream back into society by coloring their eyeballs.

I have this plastic tub of dried catnip that must be 5 years old at least but it is still so alluring to my cats that they bat the tub around on the floor and chew on it. The other day I sprinkled some around on the living room rug and let them party. Good times, good times.

I think it happened with the video Heidi posted in message 7, Mary.

message 18: by Mary (new)

Mary (madamefifi) How did I miss that? Very cute. Our cats all do that behavior from time to time. I once had a sweet little kitten who liked to suck on my earlobe while she "made biscuits".

Heh. We call it "making bread".

message 20: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments i just don't usually use that word so i replaced it with heck. that's ok isnt it?

message 21: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Works for me.

message 22: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments Totally works. I like the word Pook better, so I may just substitute WTPook?!!

message 23: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments WTSamHill?

message 24: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments Heehee! I like that one!

message 25: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) My mother often said What the Sam Hill. I wonder where that came from.

message 26: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments My Grandma used to say "Oh my stars and garters!" I loved that.

message 27: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) That's probably right. One thing my Granny said was, ""Well I swan!"

I never did figure that one out. Maybe it was aversion to saying, "I swear?"

message 28: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments supposedly it is something that refers to the devil as in "what the devil"

i like it and use it often along with "cheese and dirty crackers!"

message 29: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Or, "Jiminy Cricket!"

message 30: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments my grandmas said "what the dumb goozle?"

message 31: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments Our new favorite word is Jimmijacked, courtesy of Night at the Museum 2.

You're making that up.

message 33: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments i sometimes say "yatzee" out loud for no apparent reason. sort of like this: yaaaaa-aht-zee
