Jackson Spence (iamjacksonspence) | 6 comments Hi All :),

I was just wondering if any of you out there know of any global ebook Competitions and Award Sites where one can offer their prized work up to be judged ;)

Hope everyone had a wicked weekend :)
Many Thanks
J.S

In other news we're still running our Month of October Giveaway of This Devil's Dice on our facebook fanpage - write " The Devil made me do it " on our wall if you fancy a copy :)

Brenna Lyons (BrennaLyons) | 87 comments Several. My favorite...longest standing, most reasonably priced, and a good reputation is EPIC's eBook Awards (formerly called EPPIE).
http://epicorg.com/

They have an offset year. The 2012 awards just named finalists, but that's for books published June 1, 2010- May 31, 2011...I believe that's the deadline.

They also have the Ariana awards for ebook cover art.

All entries are in ebook format (non DRM PDF, unless otherwise agreed with the competition chair). It costs $35 for a non-member to enter the ebook contest and $25 for members. It costs less to enter cover art.

Jackson Spence (iamjacksonspence) | 6 comments Thank you Brenna :) will check it out now

Susan Roebuck (sueroe) | 46 comments Yes, the EPIC one is biggest, definitely. I'm a Finalist this year in the Mainstream Literature section and there's a big prize-giving ceremony in March 2012 in Texas. It gets bigger every year.

I like this competition because it has proper - and secret - judges, not one where authors get all their friends voting for their books.

Fiona McGier | 69 comments I blog at the Sweet'n'sexydivas blogspot on the 16th of every month. and my entry this week was on how I have little time to read these days, but being a judge for the EPIC awards every year allows me to enjoy reading, perhaps in a genre I'm not that familiar with (not the one I enter in!), and discover new authors I might like.
I just finished a book that was so well-written it took my breath away. How I wish I had written it! (grin!)

Kimberley Patterson (kimberleypattersonauthor) | 6 comments Looks like I just missed the deadlines for all of these and may have to make a note of this for next year :)

I just stumbled on to this conversation (good old updates) Congrats Susan for being a finalist in the Mainstream Literature. I just found out that I'm a finalist in historical fiction. I didn't know that ceremony was in Texas. I thought it was on some big boat in Florida. I must have read the message wrong. :>

Fiona McGier | 69 comments They were planning on doing a cruise for EPIC-con, but changed the location to Texas. More information will be forthcoming soon. Stay tuned!

J.L. (goodreadscomjloakley) | 25 comments Hmm. Maybe I'll go down. I've never been to Texas.
