Dangerous Hero Addict Support Group discussion

I argue that nerds are their own category of dangerous heroes. Why? If you agree with me, let me know your thoughts on this.

Who are your favorite dangerous minds in literature or tv/movies?

I like to see what other people think, because I know what I think, so I'll post my justification after I hear from some other people. But here is my list of dangerous minds:

I think nerds are THE most dangerous. They sneak up on you in an unsuspecting manner! The nerd is harder to spot but a brain is SOOO sexy!

Kvothe is a good one. I agree with you about nerds being the most dangerous. Brain over brawn.

I love nerds. One of my faves is McGee on NCIS. Have a soft spot for Spencer on Criminal Minds too. I haven't seen most of the shows already mentioned. I am missing out apparently.

I think so, Pamela.

To me, a nerd doesn't have to fit the stereotype. It's a person who is very brilliant, or uses their intelligence as one of their greatest assets. So any people who fit that bill qualify.

I forgot about my baby Speed from CSI Miami. That's my version of Dave Malkoff.

I still miss Speed.

I don't know if this one counts, but he definitely intelligent-Gil Grissom!! I love him and CSI isn't the same without him

Spencer is just all the right kind of awkward geek brilliance. He's a very interesting character.

I think nerds are pretty dangerous because they are clever and can be so much more sneaky. I mean nerds can get even with you or cause destruction in ways you can even imagine. That makes it a bit scary I think.

Oh, Speed was awesome. I couldn't believe what they did to him. I stopped watching the show after that.

Bridget, I agree with what you said about nerds. Brawn can only go so far. Brains generally trumps brawn.

Brains are definitely scarier than brawn in that you don't always see it coming. Nerds also so often appear nonthreatening physically, we forget what they can do with some serious brain power.

Bourne, I think, is the most dangerous mind of all, because he combines his brain with his physicality, and uses them both to the best of his abilities. That is as interesting as it is scary
