Beth Elliott Hello Corinne,
try [email protected].
Beth Elliott It always starts with a picture. Maybe I see a face in a magazine or on the internet and suddenly, a series of events appear in my mind. So I search for more faces until the person has a family, friends, foes and a home. Then the research starts to create an accurate timeline. Then I need to visit the place where the story is set... it's more like discovering the story than inventing it.
Beth Elliott When I was writing 'Scandalous Lady', the hero surprised me by telling the heroine that he had two brothers and two sisters. I honestly had no idea until the words came out of his mouth - and that was in Chapter 7. Characters do that to their writer. So his next brother, Arnaut, appears at the end of that book and he had his own story in 'The Rake and His Honour'.
Now I've had to move on five years to write the third brother's story. Joachim intends to look after the land and improve farming, but outside forces intervene.
