With the new Goosebumps movie out, would you like to see any particular book or groups of Goosebumps books made into their own movies, like The Haunted Mask, Welcome to Dead House, or the collection of Slappy books (it would be a shame for such a great prop to go to waste and Jack Black gave him such a good voice)?
R.L. Stine We had almost every villain in the movie except for The Haunted Mask. I'd love to see it in a film-- but who knows?

R.L. Stine That isn't up to me, Portia. That's up to the publisher of the old Fear Street titles/

I just finished reading Red Rain this evening. It was very hard for me to stop reading once I got into the story. Will you be writing more adult books in the future?
R.L. Stine No plans for an adult book at this time. I'm very busy with Goosebumps and Fear Street and other projects.

Hi! Why do so many of your characters have black hair in your Goosebumps books? I love your books and I've always wondered that. Thank you for getting me so interested in reading! My Dad grew up reading your books, too, and you got him hooked on reading. Anyway, just wondering and I hope you have time to answer my question because I really want to know.
R.L. Stine Maisey, someone recently asked me why I have so many people with red hair in my books! The characters all have to have hair-- don't they??

Have you ever written a book that almost scared you to write? If so which?
R.L. Stine No, I've never written a book that scared me. But I did wonder if I went too far with a scene (involving horses) in the new Fear Street book, The Lost Girl.

Your next book "Can You Keep a Secret?" sounds a lot like "The rich girl" with all the secrets connected to found money and honestly the story doesn't sound as scary as your previous Relaunch books.What can you tell us about it ?

I can't remember how many Goosebumps books I've read, but I think you ought to write some new ones. Like one about a virtual reality-like cyberspace world from Tron and perhaps some supernatural magic mirror that gives bad luck or takes people to a "mirrored" dimension. Or does science fiction does not go into the category genre of Goosebumps?
R.L. Stine There are several sci-fi Goosebumps books: Calling All Creeps and Egg Monsters from Mars come to mind.

I'm a librarian because of your books! I started reading the Fear Street series when I was 12 years old and fell in love with books and started going to my local library to check your books out. I fell in love with the library atmosphere and now work in a public library. Thank you for opening that door for me. I was just wondering if you have any plans to come to Minneapolis to do a signing?

R.L. Stine Switched is my fav of the older books. The Lost Girl is my favorite new one.

I've been a fan of yours ever since I read Goosebumps as a child. When I was older, I discovered Fear Street and many of your stand alone novels. I still enjoy your work and always will. Will there be more Fear Street novels coming soon?
R.L. Stine The newest Fear Street book is called The Lost Girl. The next one is Can You Keep a Secret?

R.L. Stine I don't think so. It's up to the publisher.

I was a huge fan of Goosebumps and Point Horror as a young teen, and my son loves Goosebumps now - what did you read growing up?
R.L. Stine I read Ray Bradbury and Isaac Asimov and lots of sci-fi stories. Also I loved horror comics and MAD.

R.L. Stine The newest Goosebumps book is called Night of the Puppet People.

Do you ever consider the idea of crossing over into other genres as alot of today's authors do or are you at home and happy with the horror genre?
R.L. Stine I don't have plans to write any other kinds of books. Scaring children is a great job!
