Hi Dawn. There will be more from the Zero Hour universe, but it will be after the novel I'm currently working on so we're probably looking at the latter half of 2017. I'm not sure if I'll continue the serial format this time though, so it may be a single novel. More news on that soon!

I love anything with robots and AI, but I wanted to tell the story differently, so I wrote Zero Hour in second person. I also wanted to write something to show how easily we have preconceived ideas of what a science fiction story should be and it seems to have surprised a lot of people, gauging by the reaction.

I love the fact that something I created from nothing has the power to move people, and make them want to read more of my work. I had a letter from someone in Brazil recently and they said my book was the first they'd read in English. It was very humbling.

I seem to get my best ideas when I'm driving. This can be awkward if I need to write something down, but I love long car journeys, especially to new places. You never know what you'll see on the way!

I'm starting on two short stories for anthologies, one a B-Movie one coming up in December and another anthology based on the world of Hugh Howey's Wool, which I'm really excited about. I wouldn't be writing today if it wasn't for Wool.

Movies. I'll take a break from reading and writing for a week or so and watch as many as I can, in all different genres. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, you'll be amazed what you can learn from other genres.

Don't be an aspiring writer - be a writer. Just do it. Sit down and write. Now.
