I couldn't move, not even my eyelids. But, I could feel my flesh being eaten away, bite by bite.

I might get an idea for the start of a story, or a scene somewhere in the middle, jot that down, then see whether my imagination will fill in the plot. If I have enough of the story in my head already, writing it becomes fairly easy. The story's shape might change before I reach the end, but an initial idea has to form.

Enjoying the writing process. Without that, I probably wouldn't bother. It certainly isn't putting food on the table, whether or not it might in the future.

I still consider myself an aspiring writer, but the one piece of advice is to keep writing. You're not going to be a better writer until you gain the experience by writing stuff that you might later wish nobody had ever read, but you learn the most from your mistakes.

Just finished a 4-volume series, so might take a break for a bit. Working on an idea for an erotica story wrapped around the origin story for a superhero, but only have the beginning, not the ending.

I either work on something else, such as editing what I have already written, or do something totally different. Since I am self-published, I am not facing deadlines, which helps avoid pressure.

My most recent book (Fourth Year After) was the 4th volume in an incest erotica series covering the first four years after the death of the main character's father, one year per volume. I wanted to take the 'son and widowed mother' theme, treat it more seriously and combine it with polyamory themes, starting with the son's girlfriend being involved with both mother and son, and gradually expanding the cast to a six-person group marriage with a father-daughter pair, then having them interact with other such families that they encounter along the way or influence to become incestuous as well.
