I won your book, "Splinter in the Blood" back on March 15 through a Goodreads promotion. I've never received this prize and have written to your publisher twice, as recommended by Goodreads, and they have never responded. No questions - just a big thank you for a great book! I'm so glad to hear there will be another in the series. Carver needs to work on impressing me as a person (although he's a great detective) but Ruth is fabulously intertesting! How soon will the second book be out?
Ashley Dyer Thank you, Carol - I'm so pleased you enjoyed it! The first draft of book 2 in the series is currently with my agent (it's a nail-biting time, so I'm keeping super-busy to distract myself!). The planned release will be around June of 2019. Sorry to keep you waiting so long! You might want to take a peek at the novels I write under the pseudonym A.D. Garrett in the meantime.

Ashley Dyer The second novel in the Lake and Carver series. It's dark . . . very dark.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Ashley Dyer Having an idea is a wonderful thing - it fills you with joy and excitement and incredible energy, so starting a novel can be easy. Finishing it - well, that's another matter entirely . . . But you have to keep working at it when it seems you will never reach the end, because every tiny bit of progress contributes to what will be your finished novel.
