Nicole Pyland I do not at this time no, but that is part of my overall plan. I listen to audiobooks myself, so I understand that people want that medium. Stay tuned and hopefully, I'll have better news soon.
Nicole Pyland What Happened After... is the Chicago Series Finale. It's 4 shorts stories taking place after Love Walking into The Lantern. Each story features one of the couples. After that, I have The Fire in September. I have a few stand alones coming, but I'll have another series coming later as well.
Nicole Pyland It's possible. It would likely be a prequel. I don't have any definite plans to write it right now, but I have a synopsis and rough outline for it to add to my list of books to write.
Nicole Pyland Firstly, thank you! Secondly, we're shooting for March right now. I don't have a specific release date yet, but we are currently working on the cover and putting finishing touches on the second book in the series. Once we have the cover and the release date, we'll add it to my website.
Nicole Pyland They will be in all Chicago Series books, but there will be new MCs that those books are about. Alyssa and Hannah will be included and you’ll see them, hear what they’ve been up to, etc.
Nicole Pyland I'll respond to this in two ways. 1. The one I'm currently writing is based in Lake Tahoe and I got inspired to write a book in that setting upon visiting the place myself. The main character is from the Chicago Series and it's her story. 2. The one I'm editing and will soon publish: All the Love Songs was inspired a little by my own social awkwardness and how that has created struggles in my life (one of the main characters has Aspergers) and most of the inspiration came from a certain music star who is known for her celebrity gal "squad" and their summertime gatherings. Combining those two things in my mind created a great story.
Nicole Pyland The Chicago Series. I've just released the first book (Fresh Start) and I have 5 more in the series ready. I'm working on the next (book 6) right now and I'm about to publish another book outside of this series (All the Love Songs), which will be published soon.
Nicole Pyland There's the write what you know club and the write what you're afraid of club and then there's the write when you can't not write (and yes, I know that's a double negative). My advice is simple. Don't force your writing. Allow it to come to you. Sure, it's inconvenient to be in the shower and have brilliant dialogue enter your brain and you have no way of writing it down. It's not exactly fun to be sitting in a meeting at work as you fully conceptualize a character and her path in your story and maybe you run back to your desk as quickly as possible to type out a quick summary so you won't forget, but when I've allowed myself permission to NOT write, I've found that my lack of discipline actually yields the best stories and they flow right out of me onto the page.
Nicole Pyland I write when the words in my head need to get out and if they don't, I can't focus on anything else. When I'm blocked, I allow the block and focus my energies elsewhere. Once I do, I often find the block removes itself. So, leaning into it is my method.
Nicole Pyland Giving life to the fictional characters that seem so real inside my head and creating a world for them to live in.
