Mark, sorry for the slow reply, but you got me thinking again about an idea I've carried for a long while with Raveneau. He wouldn't be SFPD anymore, but still, I think, a timely story. I'm writing a new novel right now, but maybe after that.

Summer, fall, winter, spring, Barbarian Days A Surfing Life by William Finnegan caught my heart. It's been out a year or two. I think about it often. We live, we do, we experience, make mistakes and learn; there's a grace to this telling. Beyond the art of a book or the idea of art in a novel this is keeper.

I'm working on another Grale, Marcia. I turn in to my editor in late May. It'll be a spring 2018 book, so you've got a bit of a wait. But I'll make it a good one. I'm hooked into Grale.
