I am a first time author and completely new to everything including Good reads. Interestingly I just go with my intuition and hope everything that I do or face will help me eventually. :-)

Being a writer is a so fulfilling and moving towards my self-actualization goals. It establishes you as a subject matter specialist and this then becomes a foundation of your future life.

My advice is to start writing, as simple as that, just start writing. If your book can help one person, it will help millions.
I am currently writing mostly business books focused on giving skills transfer to the new comers and the ones who want to learn more without going back to Universities or Colleges and bridging gaps of practical working experience. So my thought was that my knowledge can help a few of my colleagues and as an extension to many others too.

As a sequel, I am writing a second book attending specifically to the demand from readers who ask about retail business.
The questions have been around: What is the best marketing and promotion techniques that can be used in a retail shop? What are the success tips for making my shop or chain of shops to be successful??
My first book talked about Sales and mastering the sales in a retail environment. I talked extensively about the Retail talk, Magic moment, Challenges in the retail businesses and soft skills. But readers are asking for more.

It all starts as a desire, the desire to become a well-known global author. The desire if founded well, will turn it into a deep desire. I decided to take action based on strong faith thus resulting in the manifestation of the book.

The idea came from the successful workshops that I conducted for companies and SMEs during my career. The book is written from the material I had generated for the trainings and workshops. The book features assignments and companion sheets (Study Guide) after each chapter to give the readers a flavor of the workshop. :-)
