So many good books out right now! Lots from the Americans, but then there's Sally Rooney of course, with her new one, Beautiful World, Where Are You? that's actually very good, if a little self-indulgent in that one of the main characters is an author who has had fame thrust upon her. Still worth the read. But then there's Richard Powers with Bewilderment, Lauren Groth with Matrix, Anthony Doerr with Cloud Cuckoo Land. Right now I'm reading David Williamson's memoir Home Truths because I'm talking to him on October 21st for Outspoken. And these just scratch the surface...
