What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Robert P. Ottone My family has a history of bootlegging, so there's certainly fertile grounds for a mystery there. What a fabulous question.

Robert P. Ottone Definitely being able to coalesce thoughts, dreams and fears into fiction.

How do you get inspired to write?

Robert P. Ottone I'm inspired constantly, by everything around me. Fortunately, I'm able to see the world and see different people and events in a way that goes down a weird path. People are fun to figure out, so, meeting new people, learning about them, that all inspires me, too.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Robert P. Ottone I think Middle Earth is clearly the best possible place to go. Beautiful, brave, good people. Terrifying, unrelenting, evil villains. Even a little bit of gray-area, for those who want nuance.

I'd do everything I could to join the Riders of Rohan. Maybe hang out with Haldir of Lorien, learn to fire a bow, fight like an elf, have adventures.
