Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
David Knott One night I was tossing and turning over a problem at work. My mind would not let it go. Even though mentally I laid it down at God’s feet a number of times, it was as if my thoughts ignored me completely, they seemed to have a life of their own. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, into my head came, “The Lord is my shepherd”, and along with it came a deep sense of peace. That is when I decided to study Psalm 23, to teach from it at Church; and that is how "The Psalm 23 Life" came to be written.

How do you get inspired to write?
David Knott What I love about being a writer is the space to discover, think and express my thoughts. I find that as I write I am not only clarifying what I think and believe, but also discovering truths from the Bible that I did not know before. I try not to come to a passage of Scripture with an agenda, and I often don’t know what I will find or write about. It is a minor miracle to me, and source of great joy, every time God reveals something new to me. My hope and prayer is that I can pass on the truths that I find, to help and encourage others in their walk with God.
