Thank you so much! <3 this is so kind. So um, I can't say I have any official plans for what comes after the Bloodwitch series, but ... if I was to suggest a spin-off series ... a 'what comes next for [redacted] and [redacted] and their rambunctious [redacted]' (so many spoilers, I'm sorry!) I need to have a serious talk with myself after the end of Morning Star Rising to decide whether there's stories left to tell with these characters, or whether it's time to let them rest. Let's say I have ideas if not firm plans! ;)

I want to tell these characters' stories so badly, and I want to see them through to the end of the series, so I can get them to the place where they deserve to be. The idea of leaving this unfinished is intolerable to me, so that motivates me to keep pushing on!

When I finished the first draft of 'The Dying Light', I planned to set the story aside for a while and rest. But I found I couldn't leave Charlie alone for even a couple of days. I decided to write a Christmas romance that would re-tell how he and Vasco first meet, kind of as a recovery for myself after writing TDL.

I always create 'Writing Soundtracks' on YouTube for each of my books. I love finidng music and songs that capture the mood of the story and the characters. I write to lo fi or instrumental music, but whenever I'm not writing, I have my soundtracks on in the background. I find it helps resolve any lingering questions I have about plot points!

I'm about to start the first draft of Book 2 in the 'Bloodwitch' trilogy.

Write something daily (or as close to it as you can). Little and often is much better than thinking you can only write if you complete a whole chapter in a session (speaking from experience!) Try to challenge any perfectionism while writing your first draft. Just get it written!

Getting to spend so much time with my characters!

Depending on how severe it is, I will either:
a) rest, see if that helps, and try again later,
b) return to planning to see if that helps,
or
c) start working on an entirely different project until I bounce back
