My current WIP is a standalone Why Choose book. The inspiration came from a family member and a friend. They've been in the field of law enforcement their entire careers. They often reflect on experiences and over the holidays they discussed an interaction that spawned my idea. It grew and took flight when I connected with an old friend and did a few ride alongs with him.

Music is a big one for me, but also the people in my life. I have strangely deep middle of the night conversations with friends that spark story ideas in my head.

Using it as a creative outlet. Every ugly feeling, overwhelming emotion, and even the moments of elation can translate onto the page. The possibility of connecting with others on that level.
