Emma Boxer I don't force myself to write unless I'm feeling creative! I walk away and instead I read, reading usually gets me out of my hump and gets my creativity flowing. One of the benefits of being self published rather than trad published is that I don't have to worry about other peoples deadlines, so I have the privilege of writing when I enjoy it.
Emma Boxer The community. I joined bookstagram this year to track my reading and writing and I've met so many kind people, both readers and writers who have become my online friends. I feel like we all inspire each other and hype each other up and I've been so surprised by please as to how supportive it is.
Emma Boxer Just bite the bullet and do it! You'll never know until you try and you don't need a traditional publisher or agent these days to make your story heard. Write for you, write what you enjoy and put it out there! More people will enjoy your work than you probably think!

Reading other peoples stories always inspires me to keep going with my own!

I had thought about trial like competitions lots and knew I wanted to write about that. Adding in the vampires was because it was my favourite genre as a young adult and I feel like you don't see it as much anymore!
