The idea for this book came to me during a mid-life crisis. I spent almost a whole summer floating in a cheap-o kiddie pool while listening to Led Zeppelin. Blue Rubber Pool touches on religion, politics, subversion, capitalism, marriage, Southern culture, angst and paranoia while a bizarre mystery pushed the plot forward.
