A third book has already been written and is with the publisher. Keep posted! And if you haven't spent time with Ann and Rhonda in The Beach House Hotel series, you might like that series as well! Appreciate your being in touch! Hugs...

If you're talking about my characters in my books, I'd have to say Ann Rutherford and Vaughn Sanders in Breakfast at the Beach House Hotel because when Ann meets him she's so fragile from her broken marriage that even after he shows interest, it's hard for her to believe that off all the women he could have, he'd choose her. But loving him comes with the price of dealing with his publicity, trying to decide what's real and what isn't. For Vaughn, with all the hoopla of stardom where women throw themselves at him, the struggle to win Ann's heart proves to him what a treasure she is. Two people in love in the strongest, sweetest way.

Hi, Darlene! So excited you have my book. Sweet Talk is a stand-alone book but after reading it, you might want to read the others...If you're the kind of reader who wants to do the books in order, then by all means read The Talking Tree first... Thanks!!

I always have ideas in my head. The Talking Tree started as one book but I knew I couldn't leave the characters. Thus Sweet Talk is the next book in the trilogy and Straight Talk the last.

I grew up in a household where books were everywhere. As a kid I played librarian with my sister and wrote little stories. In college I wrote some horrible poems which I thought were deep and began writing stories because I had so many in my head. The first story I ever had published was a children's story published in a magazine. Under the name J.S. Keim I write middle-grade stories.

I'm currently working on editing Book Two - The Hartwell Women series. It's called Sweet Talk and is Allison's story. In some ways it's my favorite one.

If you really truly want to write, you must be serious about writing. Take as many courses as you can - online courses are great and inexpensive - meet other writers and WRITE EVERY DAY! It can be in a diary or working on a manuscript but write!

Writing is a hard, tough business but I'm happier when I'm writing and giving me a chance to be creative, allowing ideas in my head take shape in a manuscript, telling stories about people I, too, am just meeting.

Sometimes if I'm stuck in a book, I take a walk outdoors or sit and soak in the tub and just relax my mind and let ideas flow through. I look at a work in progress, go back a few chapters to spur ideas about where they might lead and just sit and write.
