Carma Spence One of the mysteries of my life that piques my interest is where my family members are burried, especially my father. I don’t have a great relationship with my stepmother and so have never gathered the courage to ask. I could see an interesting story being woven around the idea of someone searching for the burial place of their father, only to be be caught up in some strange adventure.

It could be an adventure that ends up being unrelated, as it was in Tailchaser’s Song, or could be very related — perhaps my father’s past as an MPI could be a thread.

What a cool question! Thank you for asking. You really got some ideas churning.
Carma Spence Oh, my goodness, I've been so busy I hardly have time to read. I'm working through four books right now, but my favorite is "The Best of Issac Asimov." It's my "light" reading for the summer.
Carma Spence I switch to another project. That's why I am always working on multiple writing projects. When I get blocked on one, I switch to another. I find that that this not only keeps me writing, but it gives my subconscious time to work out that pesky block!
Carma Spence Hmmm. Tough question. I can't imagine not being one ... I started writing as a toddler. But if pushed, I guess the best thing about being a writer is the ability to express your thoughts on paper (or pixels) and then clarify them so that they become clear in your mind as well.
Carma Spence Just start writing. Do it every day. Write in your journal. Keep a file of your ideas. Write blog posts. Start an Examiner.com column. Even if you were born with a natural affinity for writing, you still need to practice the craft to grow, improve and get noticed.
Carma Spence My two focus projects are "Public Speaking Super Powers" and "Celebrate You! Own Your Awesome in Business and Life." However, there are a couple of side projects in the works, as well, including an expanded version of "A Passion for Pumpkins," second editions of "Bonkers for Bundt Cakes" and "Home Sweet Home Page," as well as a couple of fiction projects.
Carma Spence That is a trick question for me. I'm always inspired to write. In fact I currently have so many ideas, I don't think I could possibly live long enough to implement them all! That said, I gain inspiration from a variety of sources: dreams, articles I've read, questions my clients ask, random things I see or experience. Daily life itself brings inspiration!
Carma Spence My publisher had an idea for a series. I agreed to be a part of it and we brainstormed together. The series is "57 Secrets" and since I know a thing or two about online marketing, as well as branding, "57 Secrets for Branding Yourself Online" was born!
