Hello Ms. Rothchild, no questions, just a huge thank you for writing a spectacular debut novel. Loved it from beginning to end. You kept me up way past my bedtime, kept from going to a movie and a dinner party (“Not feeling so hot, I think I’ll just stay in”) …Absolute Fiction! I wanted to stay home and read your book! I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed blood sugar and Ruby's character, the only problem I had with the book is I want more. Please tell me you are going to write more for our heroine or more thrillers in general?

I need to know...are you going to write more books?! I fell in love with your writing while reading Blood Sugar. I felt a deep connection to Ruby and was honestly sad when I finished the book because I didn't want it to end. Such a fantastic read, loved every second.

I'm always curious about a writer's process. What is yours? Did you think of the character first, then build the story? Or create an outline for the book before filling it in? Or did it all come in a flash you and you just wrote and edited? Such a sold book with confident, clear writing. Thank you and congrats on writing such an incredible book. Love it and recommended it to many who love it too!

I always start with story and plot. Coming from the feature and TV writing world, when you pitch an idea it is - how can you convey this in one sentence? What is the log line? Once I knew exactly what my plot was - a woman is accused of the one murder she did not commit, I built character around that. What job would make her most interesting and make her predicament most complicated and compelling? What city should she live in that will add detail and specificity and tone? And on from there. Hope this answer finds you well!
