My answer isn't very original, but perhaps my reason is. My favorite couple is Elizabeth and Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. Why? It was a great comfort to me as an adolescent to read a story about a girl who came from a very dysfunctional family and still managed to find love that was healthy, not damaging.
