Hi Amanda! Thanks for asking your question. I TOTALLY agree - Sean needs a happy ending. The good news is that the next story is already mapped out in my mind. The bad news is that I haven't had a chance to write it yet. I'm hoping to start it toward the end of this year. All of you Brigid's Cross fans have been waiting far too long! Have a great day! Terri

Hi!!! Yes, I'm going to be working on another Order of Brigid's Cross this year.

Hi Dixie! I am so glad you love the new series - I'm having so much fun writing it! I am currently working on Book 4 and want to have it out before the end of the summer. So, maybe you don't have to hold on Book 3 for so long. :) Thanks so much for writing to me!!

Hi Lori!!! Yes, there will be more Maybelle books. I'm not sure how many more at this point - I'll let Mary decide that. :) Thanks for asking!!! And I'm so glad you are enjoying Mary's stories!!! Terri

Hi Tina! I'm so sorry you waited so long for my response - I need to remember to check Goodreads more often!!! There is one book so far featuring Tom - it's called Lethal Distraction. And, of course, there are all of the Tales Around The Jack O'Lantern short stories that bring the whole O'Reilly clan together to send chills up our spines. :) Thanks so much for writing to me!!! Hi Mary, Thank you so much for writing to me. Yes, I already have a new story line for the cast of Death's Refrain - featuring Sally. I've been doing research on it for the past few months and I'll be writing it late spring, early summer. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story. And thank you for the lovely compliments!!! Terri

Hi Stephanie!! Sorry it's taken me so long to answer you - I need to get better at coming to Goodreads and checking for questions. Actually, I just released Book 20 at the end of November - it's called "Clear Expectations" - and it will be the last book for a while. I'm going to start writing some short stories about the whole O'Reilly family, though. Just to keep everyone updated on what they're doing. I love that you're local!!! Which direction? :) Have a great day!!! Terri

I recently learned that my grandfather is not who I thought he was. So, I think my search for my real roots would be an interesting plot line.

Hi Judy! I just released book 19 - Old Acquaintance - in the Mary O'Reilly series. I'll be working on book 20 towards the end of the year. Thanks for your question!
Terri Reid
I don't have an official date yet. But it will be out this Spring.

Hi!!! I'm sorry it took so long to answer you - I'm not on Goodreads as often as I should be. You can either send me an email at [email protected] and request to be put on the mailing list, or you can check on my blog - www.terrireid.com - we put updates on that all the time.
Terri Reid
Hi!! I'm so sorry this is SO LATE. We have released up to 14 in audio and are working on the rest.

Hi Sarah - I'm so sorry I haven't responded sooner. I used to write the ghost stories for the Halloween edition of the Journal Standard, then I compiled several years worth of ghost stories and put together a booklet for a fundraiser for the Stephenson County Historical Society and then, the idea just came for a mystery series. :)

(view spoiler)[In Loose Ends, which I really enjoyed, BTW, the president of the Freeport National Bank is first identified as Mike Steele and then, throughout the rest of the book, as Michael "Mike" Strong. You probably want to fix that in the Kindle version and in any future paperback reprintings. ? (hide spoiler)]
Terri Reid
Thank you so much!!! Yes - I will fix that! :)

Actually, I wrote it to be "present day" - so it would have been at about the same time "Deadly Circumstances" was happening to Mary - give or take a couple of weeks. Thanks for your question!

(view spoiler)[What is your connection to Ann Charles? When Deadwood was mentioned, that was the first thing I thought of. Thought maybe there would be a crossover of characters, but it ended up actually being the real author. I'd love some background on how that came to be! (hide spoiler)]
Terri Reid
Hi! Sorry, I've haven't been on Goodreads for a while. I met Ann (on Facebook) several years ago when she contacted me. She told me that her mother, Margo, was a big fan of my work - so much so, that at Ann's annual Deadwood Convention where her mother always speaks and tells people how wonderful Ann's books are, her mother talked about my books for about 40 minutes and ended her speech with "Oh, yeah, you should buy Ann's books too." We were fast friends after that moment. :)

(view spoiler)[I am reading Buried Innocence right now and wow, what a tough topic to cover in a book! It is so well handled but I have to ask you, how hard was it for you to write? Some of the statistics you wrote about are mind blowing and terrifying, is there someone you work with who helps you with this type of research to get it factual?
I truly love this series but as hard as this subject is I think it is one of the best. (hide spoiler)]

Hi Jo Ann, I actually received the information about re-homing from a friend who sent me a Reuters article - then I started doing more research. I even went to some local Craigslists and couldn't believe I found actual re-homing ads. It is mind-blowing!!! I agree - this was one of the hardest topics, but I also felt it was important to shed a light on this practice that most of us have no idea goes on. (Most of us wouldn't do this to a puppy - much less a child!) So, thank you for asking! And I'm so glad you are enjoying the series. Terri

There are some people who don't believe in writer's block - but, call it what you will - there are sometimes when I just know, nothing's coming. So, I get out of my chair, put on some laundry, exercise, take a nap, take a walk with the dogs - I just do something different. Then, when I come back an hour or so later, my muse is generally ready to speak to me again. :)
Thanks for asking!

I'm copying an email I received a few weeks ago from a lovely reader of mine to answer your question: (deleting anything too personal)
I'm in the middle of you latest book and I just HAD to email you and thank you for what you wrote about God bringing people home instead of them dying. My brother passed away suddenly in ______. He was also my boss. I'm doing ok, but I really miss him. All that being said, I just wanted you to know that those few simple words used to describe God bringing folks home have given me comfort and a new understanding of losing my brother, boss and friend. I feel like it was a message from God just for me. Thank you for that and thank you for your wonderful books!
This is by far the best part.
