How many books do you anticipate ultimately being in the Worldbreaker series?
Kameron Hurley Three. I'm working on the last one now and it's scheduled to come out in spring of 2017. Sending my editor cover ideas right now, actually.

What were your thoughts behind putting rape and sexism with the usual roles reversed in your novel "Mirror Empire"?
Kameron Hurley There seems to be some very odd rumor that MIRROR EMPIRE is a reverse-Gor novel. Alas, this is not the case. Tho this rumor seems to be selling a lot of books.

who are your favourite authors? Or, wich authors inspire you?
Kameron Hurley I read pretty widely. I only rate books on goodreads that I enjoyed, so that's a good place to look for some of my favorites.

Kameron Hurley The Hours, by Michael Cunningham. Not genre, but near and dear.

What is your favorite band? (I try to ask things other than the usual writing questions.)
Kameron Hurley Weirdly enough, I don't listen to a lot of mainstream music. I spend most of my time listening to movie soundtracks from composers like Howard, Mansell and Zimmer (they're just easier to write to). I'll listen to the pop song flavor of the week on repeat a few hundred times, but then burn out - the composers, I always come back to.
