What I love most about being an author is the ability to live so many different lives. One second I can be an heiress on the verge of losing it all, in the next I can be the princess of a long lost kingdom on the cusp of civil war. I can have any job, live anywhere, and it’s all at my fingertips. What other job can say that?

This is probably going to sound like a cliché, but it's cliché for a reason. Read as much as you can and keep writing. The more you read, the more ideas you'll have and the more you write, the better your writing will get.

I deal with writer’s block by walking away from the story for a little while. Sometimes I’ll work on something else for a little bit while I let the story percolate in the back of my mind. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve come up with ideas for a story while working on another. Exercise helps a lot as well, so I often go for walks, hit the gym, or do some gardening and eventually something will click.
