where is the last survivors/the ruins set ? with place names like brighton, coventry and halifax it sounds like England but the scenery doesnt match at all. Is it based in North America ? maybe the east coast ?

T.W. Piperbrook Hey Andy! We tried to keep the location ambiguous, as we took some liberties, but you are correct. We loosely based the setting in the Northeast US. Thanks so much for checking out the series!

Do I need to read the Last Survivors series first before the Ruin series?

T.W. Piperbrook Hi Robin! You'll probably have the best reading experience by starting with The Last Survivors. However, I do provide a recap in the beginning of The Ruins, so I've had people jump right in and be fine. It's up to you! Either way, I hope you enjoy the books.

I love your The Last Survivors and The Ruins series. Have you finished exploring that world or are you planning on more books about that world?

T.W. Piperbrook Hi Abror! Glad you enjoyed the books! I've considered writing a follow-up series with the remaining characters of The Ruins (I won't mention names to avoid spoilers). So, it's possible I'll get back to them in the future!

T.W. Piperbrook Hey Linda! My apologies for the delay in response. Somehow this question got past me and I just now saw it! Contamination: Dead Instinct was written as a standalone story in the world, so it should complement the series. You shouldn't encounter many spoilers. Hopefully you enjoyed the book!

I just finished the last book of Ruins...What an odyssey! 10 books later and I still want more! I came to this serie late but it allowed me to read them all in sequence! What a trip! I do hope, after following these characters through so much and learning about and from them, that we'll catch up later in their adventures. Thank you for hours of entertainment! Any plans for more?

T.W. Piperbrook Hey Pierre! Thanks so much for sticking with the whole series! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm pretty happy with the ways things ended; with that said, I've had a few ideas for some stories in the world. I'm not sure if Bobby and I will return to Brighton, but I might end up filling in a few adventures from Bray, Kirby, and William on their journey down south, or with Kirby and William after the end of Book 4. You never know!

Hey T.W. ! When is the next Last Survivors book coming out? I dont know what it is about that series but its one of the best I have ever read.

How many books will be in the Contamination Series? I absolutely love this series!!!

T.W. Piperbrook Thanks Theresa! I wrapped up the main storyline in Book 6. However, I might have some additional storylines or standalone books coming in the next year. :)
