How did you come up with such a terrific story? I just started Seashells, Spells and Caramels-Iggy is a real character-LOL. I am really loving it, and is it true you have another to add to this wonderful series?
Erin Johnson Hi Joann! I am so sorry for the LONG delay in getting back to you-- I didn't even know I'd received a question till just now, so my apologies.

I'm so happy you enjoyed Seashells, Spells & Caramels! :) I hope you've checked out the rest of the series. There are currently 6 out, with the 7th coming out October 13, 2018.

I've really loved writing them, and Iggy's lines are definitely the most fun. I found inspiration from Harry Potter, The Great British Bake Off, and Hayao Miyazaki films.

After the 'Spells & Caramels' series do you think you will take your cozy mystery style of writing towards a modern witch storyline? I think it would awesome to read (in your style of writing) about a witch helping solve wacky/odd crimes that float between the mundane world and supernatural one. Also, love your style of writing and will continue to read nonetheless.
Erin Johnson Hi there! :) That's a great question. I think the next series will be in the same general world as Imogen's --so a world where magic and the regular world co-exist. But I haven't yet decided if we'll be seeing more of the regular, non-magical world, or if we'll be immersed in the magic like in Spells & Caramels. I think I'm leaning more towards what you're suggesting, but I'll keep you update when I get there (probably next year).

I just read books 1-6 of the spells and caramels series in 3 days! i LOVE them! and can't wait for more and hope there are many more to come! but was just curious when book 7 will be coming?
