Book two in the Sports in Space series is titled "Up Slope". Also, I have a 70,000 word manuscript about 70% of the way done. It's called "Counterfeit Horizon". Writing has been a life long hobby of mine, however, I was "inspired" to make it a professional choice after a series of unfortunate events. A couple of years ago I started having seizures, mostly stress induced, but problematic and difficult to deal with all the same. My career as an engineer for a large software concern seemed to be at an end. I was forced to reexamine my priorities and search for a better way. While I was healing I wrote a lot, it helped me work through and even correct some of the health issues I had at the time. Later, I realized that I enjoyed the creative process as well as writing fiction specifically. That's when I decided to pursue this line of work professionally.
