I am writing a picture book with my friend and I was wondering if you could write a review. if you want to could you contact me or my mum if you have it? Hi Emily - so in my head you're still about three years old, which makes it weird to see this message! But it's so lovely to hear from you - and yes, Kate is my cousin and your grandfather, Peter is my uncle!!! That's so cool you and your friend are writing a picture book. Of course I'll review it. Just let me know when it's finished and you can email it to me to read! I'm very impressed!

Hi Whitney - you can definitely read the series out of order. It's about three sisters so there are shared characters, but I did write them to be stand alone books. I hope you enjoy Pepper and Coop!

Elizabet Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy. I love Lizzie because she is so smart and doesn't try and hide her wit and Darcy because when Lizzie needed him the most he was there. If anyone deserved their happy ever after, it's these two. Plus, I never get sick of reading their story!

Hi Astoria, once upon a time I had planned to do a second book and I even wrote a first chapter and lots of notes, but then my writing took a different direction and I never went back to it. So, for now the answer is probably not, but you've reminded me to go and see if I can find those old notes and chapter and perhaps put them up on my website!

I wish I had a smart, sassy answer for this one, but as someone who almost stopped writing because I was so blocked, this question really hits home. The only way I could get past it was to start meditating and practicing a lot more gratitude. Even then it was a long journey, but I definitely feel like I'm heading in the right direction!

I work in a middle-grade library and hands down the coolest thing is when the kids from school discover that I also write books. A look of disbelief crosses their face and then after they go and google me or read my books they then proceed to sprout back all the facts of my life, like, "Mrs Ashby, did you know that you were born in Australia?" As it turns out, I did know that, but all the same, it's kind of adorable!

There is a story in you that only you can tell. Even more important, there is a reader out there waiting for that story. Living a creative lifestyle can be exhausting and our inner critics can hurt us more than the worst bully, so it really is important to remember that what you are doing matters, not just to yourself, but to the person who your words will touch.

I'm working on a really cool young adult romance with a weird paranormal twist to it. I've never written a straight YA romance before, so it's been really interesting.

Because I know that I'm the laziest person in the world, I can't trust myself to wait for inspiration to strike. Instead I normally start by refusing to let myself drink coffee until some words are written. Seems I will do anything for coffee!

I actually had the idea of Dating the Guy Next Door almost fifteen years ago and it was because I kept reading a lot of chick lit novels where a woman suddenly had a biological clock. I thought it would be fun to see what happened when a guy had a biological clock. Turns out it was fun to write about it!
