As far sa I am concerned, There's no dealing with it. I see it as unconscious at work. Either the plot is still brewing & not ready to come on paper yet. Or I am scattered/preoccupied my mind and not ready to put it on paper yet. In such a situation, I accept it myself, fly w with whatever else is happening in life, and at the right moment, all scattered pieces of the zig-saw puzzle fall in place. Remember - there is a time to knead the dough, and there is a time to let it rest

For me it is almost a meditative experience ... It cleanses, it purifies, it helps me be whole. The creative aspect of it helps me weave a world beyond my world & yet the earthly aspect of it keeps my feet on ground. In Depth Psychology terms, it is also a creative way to facilitate catharsis of my suppressed, denied or disowned self.

Start before you start ...
Sense your gut, ask your self what theme/topic is stirring there
Feel your heart, is your heart ready to flow with it
Prepare your mind to do adequate research, more importantly reflective research
Start ... Don't task yourself, don't monitor yourself too often, don't judge yourself ... Let the first few thousands of words flow as it is , and then one when really feel fully into it, sit down to read & edit yourself no judgementally
MOST IMPORTANTLY ... Remember your best advisors are your gut instinct, your heart & your head. Don't take external advices too seriously.

Inspiration comes from life. I don't task myself to write. I try to remain present & awake to various Spurs that life provides in different forms & ways. I pick with affection & care all those Spurs that life showers me with and try to weave them together in prose, verse or academic writing.

My most recent book is "a mother's cry ... a mother's celebration" . It is not a book, it is a poem & a prayer on my transcendental pilgrimage from grief to grace. It tell the story of my pilgrimage traversing across lamet, longing, pain and love, that I lived through after my son's transcendence. The pilgrimage continues. The inspiration to share my story with the world comes from the realisation that there are so many people in this world, especially bereaved parents, who get swamped by their grief. Through my story I want to reach out to all such people and support them in finding faith, meaning & strength.
