I am reading "The School of Homer." I'm finding the maps in the front of the book to be helpful in visualizing the action. Then I discovered the pencil sketches scattered through the book, unusual in an adult detective novel. I see no artist attribution for the sketches. Are they yours?

Alexander Marriott They are derived from photos I took at the actual locations described in the novel.

What are you currently working on?

Alexander Marriott The second and third Virgil Colvin novels. Both are outlined and the second is in draft, parts are being edited by outsiders as I continue to write the rest of the novel.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Alexander Marriott Oooh, this is a fun question--so many that are fascinating, and interesting, and dangerous! I would visit the world of The Secret Garden, seems peaceful and serene, no murders, dinosaurs, or chaos of the books I'm often reading and drawn to read.
