My heart cries out to those in the path and decimation of hurricane Matthew. I wish I could find the right words to say to encourage. I wish I were in a position to be of some help. 

Like my Creator, He wept when he saw the suffering of His loved ones, I too, weep. I shall offer up prayers of restoration and hope for my brothers and sisters.

Baqash is a fictional book with Scripture directly woven in to the story. And it is a story about a young lady who finds herself in the End Times, dealing with her own sinful nature and that of the world. On top of that she’s given a dream to find her husband, he’s out there somewhere. Finding him is like finding the proverbial needle in the haystack. How does God lead her to Mattithyahu? 

The book is part drama, future technology, dystopian, and light romance.

On our second anniversary, Nancy began what would be twelve hours of labor. (All of our kids arrived on notable occasions, none more so than Johnny. He popped into the world on February 2, prompting the doctor to tell us that if he saw his shadow, he would go back inside and Nancy would have six more weeks of pregnancy.)

Something that is on my heart today:

We need to teach house leaders, men and women, how to give communion. To empower them and help them understand what communion is about. 

Because there may come a time when organized religion (while possibly not illegal) will be a social stigma and few will gather to meet. And certainly not at a big church building or in obvious avenues. But in houses, secretly.
