My poem about a whale-shaped light is part of this year’s Red Room Company Poetry Object learning resource alongside writing by Claire G Coleman, Arielle Cottingham, Pola Fanous, Eleanor Jackson, Benjamin Laird, Jacqui Malins and Zech Soakai.

Poetry Object is Australasia’s largest free poetry-writing competition for young people, with over $10,000 in prizes to be won, and will be judged in 2019 by Emilie Zoey Baker.

Poetry Object invites students (Years 3-10) and their teachers to create poems inspired by treasured, curious or talismanic objects.

Second print run for Glasshouses

Excited to share that my debut poetry collection Glasshouses has gone into a second print run!

Big warm thanks to all for supporting the book and me, especially friends and editors Felicity Plunkett and Ian See and my publisher Madonna Duffy and University of Queensland Press.

Lovely to include a dedication to Felicity whose poem ‘Cyclone Plotting’, published in Best Australian Poems 2011, inspired my ‘Drums’.

Glasshouses is available at these and other bookstores.
