Hi all!

So I’m excited to share with you the title and blurb for the Gamer Boy #2 novel. This is Gia and Simon’s story. If you read LEVEL ME UP, which I hope you have since you are reading this post, you know that Simon and Gia have some kind of history. Both were unwilling to go into much detail. But now, they are ready to let you in on the secret!

So are you ready for it?

Book Spotlight! #Comingsoon from LK Farlow!

Introducing, An Uphill Battle, book 2 of The Southern Roots Series.  This title may be read as a standalone.  Check it out & add it to your TBR today!    Azalea Barnes has hated Drake Collins since the day he broke her teenaged heart.  Fast forward almost seven years later and her libido still hasn’t gotten the memo.  Now they’re frenemies… with benefits.  Which suits Azalea just fine. She gets what her body craves while keeping her heart safe. Kind of. Mostly.    Drake has loved Azalea sin...

Hello, From The Other Side

Hello! It’s me.

So I’ve been a tad busy. Last month, I released LEVEL ME UP, my debut release, and the first book in my Gamer Boy series. So, hello! This post is coming to you Lauren Helms, published AUTHOR.

LEVEL ME Up is out and people are reading it. Most are loving it. Which was the goal. And big news, I’m writing book two in the Gamer Boy series, RIGHT NOW. Can you guess who’s the stars of book #2?

All About That Cover

So, big news…

Level Me Up officially has a cover! Woot! Check it out…

I’ve had the final cover for a couple weeks now. And it’s like that wad of cash chilling in your pocket…it was burning a hole right through. I’ve wanted to share it with the world for since I received the final image. But since I was paying for a service to reveal the cover to drum up some excitement, I had to hold off.

So let’s talk about the cover creation process for a minute.

It all started with me telling my designe...

I Don’t Know What I’m Doing!

Really, it’s almost comical how badly I’m navigating this whole self-publishing a novel journey. Per the suggestion of another self-publisher, months ago, she said,
“Pick a date, at least two months from now and that will be your release date.”

So I did. I picked a date in May. A random Tuesday. And made that my goal. So I’m sitting here, twiddling my thumbs, making last pass edits from the proofreader and realize, I need to get connected with a promo group! You, know, to help me get the word...

This Is All So New!

Hello!

This is my first blog post as an author (well, publicly…on my official author site). So, since you are reading this, thanks for being here! I’m super excited about this journey I’m taking and that you’re hanging out with me as I navigate through the craziness of being a newbie author and self-publishing my first novel.

I’ve been a reader all my life (thank you, Mom). Around the time of having my first child, I started to read more. I found myself reading 30 to 40 books a year. Does tha...
