I’d be sad if anyone felt slighted by the selection process for winners of the Photo Challenge. There weren’t any “winning photos” in the sense that I deemed anyone’s more … erm … photogenic. Names were chosen at random in a drawing of everyone who posted (or emailed) an entry.

And you have another chance! The deadline for entries in the Review Challenge is fast approaching (6/4).

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Photo Challenge. Since there was a last-minute rush for entries, I have several snapshots to share over the next few months. Here are two photos from JN, taken with a blue-eyed beauty.

Chapter 27: Stilled

She woke when Shippo patted her cheek. “Say, Kagome, he sounds bad. Got any more pellets?”

Crawling from her sleeping bag, she found the bottle and rattled. Not much left. Maybe after they reached the slayers’ village, Inuyasha could get her to the Well....

…I type “reaver village.” And stop. And have to actually think. And sheepishly backspace so I can type “slayer village.” Because worlds *will* collide.

For the remainder of the afternoon, Inuyasha carried Sesshoumaru through trees and along trails. Aimless except to get away from the others, to give his brother some space. And to share it.

Kouga stared at the unconscious man in the bed with mixed feelings. I could kill him. His gaze flicked to the young woman clinging determinedly to Hojo’s hand, and he dismissed the notion. Damn… I don’t have time for this!  With a annoyed flick of his tail, Kouga grabbed a handful of striped pajamas. “Hey, human! Snap out of it already!” he growled. “Beauty sleep’s over!”
