Female Astronaut Rendering

Tag your favorite female astronaut in the comments! Shout out to Nasa astronaut Christina Koch who completed the longest-ever single spaceflight by a woman in February.

Tangible Sci-fi

I've spent many years working with NASA and have brought much of that experience to my new sci-fi series. The world I've created is tangible.

Drawing by R. Peter Keith

As a storyteller, I've always enjoyed the freedom of drawing. Putting pen to paper allows me to go to space, even if physically I'm sitting at a desk.

"Keith has succeeded in crafting an accessible and enjoyable piece of science fiction here, perfect for newcomers to the genre or young adult readers. It’s a fairly quick read and dominated by some dramatic action sequences that move the plot along swiftly and keep the pages turning, as the story builds towards a thrilling final act that is worthy of Hollywood." - Indie Reader

Plot of Book 1

What if you took a multi-year long job in space only to get halfway to your destination and be told to go home without finishing your mission, or even enough fuel to return to Earth? That's what's going on with our protagonist, Cal Scott in Book 1 of Wine Dark Deep. But Cal has a plan to get their fuel —one way or another.

"Wine Dark Deep" Book 1 excerpt

Enjoy this excerpt from Book 1 of my new series, "Wine Dark Deep." You can preorder a copy for the sci-fi lover in your house at this link! --> https://amzn.to/3hT2EnS

“Ulysses needed to use their remaining fuel to make a different burn entirely: extending the ellipse of their orbit so that Jupiter’s gravity would slingshot them home. Without being able to refuel, this was their safest bet—although it was not without risk. Absent constant thrust from the engine, it would be a long, slow trip; it would tax their food and air supply and expose them to the constant radiation environment of deep space. This did not seem like a bargain to Cal: lose the mission and get cancer.”
