Ram Ray is an associate professor at Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, Texas. He obtained his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire in 2009, an M.S. degree in Soil Science from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University, Belgium in 2004, and a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal in 1993. He also worked as a research scientist at Prairie View A&M University for six years. Ray’s research interests include water resources management, flood hydrology, natural hazards (e.g., landslides, floods) hydrology-land surface-atmosphere interactions, soil water dynamics, watershed hydrology, modeling, carbon sequestration, and Remote sensing and GIS.
