Acquisitions News! Rio Sunrise, a contemporary romance novella

Freya's Bower has just acquired my IR contemporary romance novella entitled Rio Sunrise .
Here is the 'unofficial' blurb: Jayla Mitchelson had no idea how much her life would change when she accepted the biggest photography position of her career to Rio de Janeiro. She had no idea it would put her right in contact with one of the most irresistible and closed off bachelors in the business, Eric Jansen. Despite his controlled demeanor, the chemistry between them is undeniable as...

POC Reading Challenge
2010 - Young Adult Reading Challenge #10
What a charming debut! I heard about Magic Under Glass like many other readers during the book cover debate. I'm glad that Bloomsbury changed their cover to reflect the heroine's dark complexion. It took me a doozy of a hunt to find the new cover because I wanted to show my support for diversity in publishing. Publishers need to realize that there's nothing wrong with diverse characters and covers. It may not make as much or sel...

Reading Update!
Well, I'm a bit behind my reading challenge schedule but that's okay because I'm enjoying some of my current stuff. I was planning on reading a recent paperback I bought for the Friends to Lovers May theme (it's called The Other Woman by Patricia Kay). April was SFR/SFF/F month and I read Time Hunters: Warrior by Angela Knight which was an okay read after an explosive start up. I'm a bit late, but that takes care of April and now I'm ready to tackle May.
Now, I'm currently listening to Faith...

Next Up On the Roster
Now that I have the 'Mortal's' digital release behind me, I'm going to take a mini break to catch up before I start prepping for the print rush.
On the roster is a few projects that I've been tossing around. A short IR contemporary with a Rio theme (that may become a novel if I can work it), two fantasy stories: one that I wrote for an anthology but now for a magazine and the other originally intended for the magazine, an IR YA surfer romance, a noir romance that needs to be rewritten a bit ...

Within the Shadows of Mortals is Now Available!
Whew!
After three rounds with the formatting gremlins and lots of caffeine, Within the Shadows of Mortals is now available for your downloading pleasure! The Kindle version should be up in the next few days at Amazon and I'll be posting that link when it's available.
For now, you can buy the book at Smashwords here.
There's an option to download a sample of it and I made it so potential readers can check out half the book. This option won't last for long but I thought I would give the ear...

Linkspam: Way Cool Links You Can't Pass Up! (*Updated with new free ebook link)
Hey folks!
Thought I'd share some awesome links I came across. It's been awhile since I had a link parade and now's a great time to dive right back in.
First, the big "squee!" news. My publisher Freya's Bower/Wild Child Publishing was recently showcased in the May/June 2010 edition of Writer's Digest under the Small Press Spotlight section. Very cool! I was also jazzed to see One Evening in London spotlighted under the caption box of "What Stands Out & Why". If you're interested in ...

Guest Blogger: Teresa D'Amario Celebrates her new release Dark Succession! Out now from Freya's Bower

First, let me thank Rae for hosting my release party! Rae is an awesome artist and author in her own right so it's an honor to be here.
Wow. I can't believe it. It's finally here! The release of Dark Succession. The story of Ryland, who was introduced in my first book, SheWolf. It's hard to believe it has finally arrived. When we first met Ryland, he was not a very nice guy. In fact, one thing which holds true with him is he gives a very BAD first impression. I have to admit, the fir...
