Bethany powered through her first & second heat, making it into the Round of 12. By that round, the surf had dropped & the winds had changed. She ended up not getting the waves she needed to really shine, so she lost that heat.

Overall, Bethany was pleased to have placed the best competition result that she’s had in about two years! As she told Tyson Alger from The Garden Island newspaper, “It was a pretty exciting contest due to the good waves we got. I can’t remember a heat I have had fun in in so long. Margaret River has power similar to Hawai‘i so I’m a little more at home here.” Read more

Thx 4 supporting Bethany in her heat. She had the highest single wave score in her heat, but just couldn’t get a second wave to back it up. In surfing, sometimes you’re competing against the waves and the clock….

Ok, so I admit I stole this recipe from Sambazon’s website! But it sounds really good!

-3 oz Original açaí juice

-3 tbsp apple cider vinegar

-Dash of garlic powder

-Dash of onion powder

-1/3 cup of extra-virgin olive oil

-2 tbsp of tahini

Instructions:

1. Whisk all ingredients together.

2. Pour over your salad!
