Now Eugenie is a hot target for every ambitious demon and Otherworldy ne’er-do-well, and the ones who don’t want to knock her up want her dead. She finds them in Dorian, a seductive fairy king with a taste for bondage, and Kiyo, a gorgeous shape-shifter who redefines animal attraction. But with enemies growing bolder and time running out, Eugenie realizes that the greatest danger is yet to come, and it lies in the dark powers that are stirring to life within her…

Six Sentence Sunday – 5/27

Sharing more from the story I showed last week, a post-apocalyptic erotic romance. The hero (well, one of them anyway *ahem*) and the heroine meet for the first time. This ain’t no meet cute. ;)

Shit.

As that gaze stayed firmly on hers, recognition clicked into place. April knew him, or at least of him. His reputation was legendary. Roth McAllister had once been a vigilante hunter with over two hundred dragon kills under his belt.

Double shit.

For those new to this, the rules are simple:

1) pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published

2) pick six sentences

3) post ‘em on Sunday

See? Easy. Want to play? See the site for information on how to do just that: http://sixsunday.com

How about a little erotic superhero romance from Sydney Croft (the writing duo of Larissa Ione and Stephanie Tyler):

Danger is the ultimate aphrodisiac.

They met in a steamy Florida bar—then spent a night of mind-bending passion. Two secret agents who each possess unique telekinetic gifts—and whose combined sexual powers leave neither of them unscathed. For ex–Navy SEAL Wyatt Kennedy, assigned by the Agency for Covert Rare Operatives to the most treacherous mission of his career, the woman in black leather and lace has just become more than a one-night stand. Because Faith Black is the sole barrier to the success of his mission—and not even Wyatt’s legendary seduction skills can penetrate her deep cover.

Faith’s psychic gifts make her one of the world’s most dangerous women—but she hides a secret pain she shares with no one. Until Wyatt. And Faith has an agenda of her own: using her unique powers to save someone close to her—a move that pits her against a man she thought she’d never see again. For as a deadly hurricane is unleashed across the eastern seaboard, desire reignites between Faith and Wyatt, exposing secrets that thrust them both into harm’s way. With the hurricane sweeping closer—and their erotic hunger for each other growing—these two wary hearts must come together to heal, to trust . . . and to harness the power of a storm that could consume everything in its path.

A Few of My Favorite Books – Day One

“Books are the greatest gift one person can give another.” ~ Bono

I thought I’d have a little fun over the next two weeks. Why? Well, today marks exactly two weeks to my birthday and you’re getting the gifts instead of me. Each day from now until June 8th, I’m going to run a giveaway for a different paperback/hardcover book each day. Some of my favorite genres, my favorite authors and my favorite books. Entering will  be as easy as leaving a comment, but please read the guidelines before entering. :D

So to kick things off…a little assassin Urban Fantasy:

Spider’s Bite (Elemental Assassin, Book 1) by Jennifer Estep

My name is Gin, and I kill people.

They call me the Spider. I’m the most feared assassin in the South — when I’m not busy at the Pork Pit cooking up the best barbecue in Ashland. As a Stone elemental, I can hear everything from the whispers of the gravel beneath my feet to the vibrations of the soaring Appalachian Mountains above me. My Ice magic also comes in handy for making the occasional knife. But I don’t use my powers on the job unless I absolutely have to. Call it professional pride.

Now that a ruthless Air elemental has double-crossed me and killed my handler, I’m out for revenge. And I’ll exterminate anyone who gets in my way — good or bad. I may look hot, but I’m still one of the bad guys. Which is why I’m in trouble, since irresistibly rugged Detective Donovan Caine has agreed to help me. The last thing this coldhearted killer needs when I’m battling a magic more powerful than my own is a sexy distraction . . . especially when Donovan wants me dead just as much as the enemy.

Six Sentence Sunday – 5/20

Thought I’d share something I’ve been hammering away at for the past few weeks…more than likely, a post-apocalyptic erotic romance. I mean, during dark, desperate times, what else are people left to do? ;)

“Hey, Roth, hand me the knife, will you?” April glanced over her shoulder when he didn’t answer. She recognized the unfocused, glazed look in his dark eyes, and was even a little surprised to discover she didn’t mind him gawking at her. Knowing he would hate himself later if he allowed himself to give in, she released the rope and moved to slide off the hood of the truck–well out of his reach.

His hand clamped around her ankle, stopping her. “I know I said…” he trailed off as his lips drew together in a fine line.

For those new to this, the rules are simple:

1) pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published

2) pick six sentences

3) post ‘em on Sunday

Answers!

Well, really, answer. But it’s a good one.

Liia asked: WELL! I have a question about when you’re going to finish a certain series that was left on an insane cliffhanger that I’ve been DYING to read the next book of! *smiles sweetly* Pretty please when are you going to write the next book?

The series she’s referring to is the Rebirth series, my hot urban fantasy romance about Fae and vampires. The 3rd book in the series, Forged in Fire, ended on a major cliffhanger (I do like my twists and turns…). Have no fear, Evande, Quinn, Logan and the rest of the gang will be back. I just don’t have an exact date as to when. The fourth book is written, but in the wrong POV as the course of the series has changed from its original form as each book in the series has published (for instance, Callista actually died in my original cut of Forged in Fire, since she’s very much alive… *g*) Those changes will take a major rewrite that I have to carve out time for, but I am looking forward to it. :D
