On the plus side of being sick I’ve stopped pushing myself to work and I’m just reading and reading. I finished THE DELPHI EFFECT by Rysa Walker which I love so very much, and I bought myself the sequel THE DELPHI RESISTANCE as an e-book. I’m excited to dive into it. I love well-written books about psychic powers, especially YA.

I am reading and loving THE DELPHI EFFECT by Rysa Walker
I am reading and loving THE DELPHI EFFECT by Rysa Walker; it’s well written, and full of tension and depth. I love books about psychic and paranormal powers; it’s part of why I wrote HUNTED. I love the almost magical possibilities (and as a teen I wanted such powers to somehow help me escape the abuse and torture)I really enjoy how Rysa incorporates people with traumatic pasts and some psychological issues with psychic powers. Love the way she presents the powers. As a cult survivor there are some things I find a little triggering, but that just makes me identify with the characters all the more. Recommended!

I’m editing my manuscript and I just turned to The Emotion Thesaurus by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi to make sure that the physical reaction for the emotion I was writing fit, and to see if there was anything else I could add. Whenever I think I’m repeating myself too much describing emotion or need to change it up I pick it up for inspiration. Writers – it’s a good book to have around.
