The 'Cerebral' Candidate
Amazing and nice to see a blogger for the historically anti-Ron Paul Houston Chronicle admit that he is the smartest guy in the room, and also a very serious candidate who can derail Perry. And the others! (Thanks to Mark Elam)
The Ron Paul Generation
"Forget Pepsi; it appears that veteran Texas congressman Ron Paul is the choice of a new generation."
Texas Feud
The UK's Toby Harnden has bought all the Perry propaganda, but his story of the Perry-Rove war is still interesting.

Happy Birthday, Ron
With 1 1/4 hours to go, Ron's birthday money bomb has virtually made its goal of $1.5 million, and is sure to go way over. So, double congratulations. Oh, and there are still 1.25 hours left to get the 12.5% birthday discount on the great LRC Ron Paul t-shirt.
Palin To Announce by Labor Day
That's according to Bush's brain, Karl Rove. Just what we need, another warmongering Hageeite for president. If Rove is right, is it a problem for Ron? No, even though it may be intended to be. Just like Perry, her co-religionist, she only dilutes the bloodthirsty neocon-establishment vote.
'Plugging Away as the Outsider's Outsider'?
Sure, boys, keep telling yourself that, keep ignoring RonPaul to keep him out of your designated top-tier. This is all about to recoil on you. Ever heard of blowback?
Anti-Perry Ad Hurts Ron Paul, Claims US [Gov't] News
According to this MSM mag, the infamous Perry ad, the exact opposite of the Gentleman Candidate's approach to opponents all his life, will hurt Ron, though he and his campaign had nothing to do with it. Really? If the MSM get their way, perhaps. "Does that mean the whole thing is a dirty trick?" wonders Jim Ostrowski.
Darn Those Readers
Eric Zorn of the once anti-war and anti-FDR Chicago Trib assures us he is not at all bothered by the avalanche of anti-fan mail he has received since attacking Ron Paul, not in the slightest. He has thick skin, thick, believe him. But the truth about his opposition is buried in one phrase, dissing Ron for upholding what Zorn calls "the virtue of military isolationism." What? A candidate who dares oppose anti-Muslim massacres and occupations? Zorn sees the state as our moral guide and caretaker. He is undoubtedly a practical Keynesian. But it is the war issue that eats at him. Ron points out that it the people like Zorn who oppose free trade, and want to impose killer sanctions on Muslim civilians, who are the isolationists. That word was first used to stigmatize those who opposed the US war on Spain, and the conquest of its colonies. Still today, that reflects the real meaning of the word: an isolationist is one who opposes wars of aggression. Like the proper foreign policy for a free, commercial republic, outlined by Washington in his farewell address, Ron wants trade with all, friendship with all, entangling alliances with none, and no obsession, pro or con, with any foreign state. And most Americans agree with him.
