Fresh Fiction review for My Lord Immortality

My Lord Immortality Alexandra Ivy Reviewed by Annetta Sweetko Posted March 25, 2013 Romance Paranormal In MY LORD IMMORTALITY a traitorous vampire is seeking a medallion that can be used to rip away the Veil that has kept vampires separated from humans. This medallion had been broken in three pieces and given to three different women who can only willingly give it away. Knowing the danger the possession of these magical pieces would entail for these women, a guardian is sent to watch over them. MY LORD IMMORTALITY is the tale of Amelia Hadwell and her guardian Sebastian St. Ives. Amelia Hadwell has turned her back on society, a society that would have locked away her brother, William, because he didn't match up to expectations. She is all there is to protect this large but gentle man, until a gypsy woman gives her a medallion then her world changes drastically. Sebastian St. Ives is a scholarly vampire who has the duty of watching over Amelia, but being so close to the human woman brings to mind much more than books and philosophy. He knows the danger that could befall her and is determined that he will not allow anything to happen to this woman. No matter how utterly headstrong she turns out to be, he will do his duty then return to the peace and quiet of the Veil. So he plans, but the first encounter with the beauty has his scholarly mind turning to more emotional whims. MY LORD IMMORTALITY is a book that is impossible to put down. It fits into a number of genres so anyone into historical, paranormal or romance will find this one a perfect read. The setting is historical London and adds to the feel of the danger young Amelia faces so bravely. There are gorgeous vampires and the right amount of romance to give the heart a number of quick flutters. MY LORD IMMORTALITY is the third in the Immortal Rogues series by author Alexandra Ivy. Though it is not necessary to have read the previous books in the series, this is a stand alone, once you have read it, it is a no-brainer that you will want to read the others. Learn more about My Lord Immortality SUMMARY Amelia Hadwell has no time for London's nightlife. Not when her beloved brother's odd ways have their family threatening to institutionalize him. And not when she is questioning her own sanity after being confronted by a murderous shadow creature - then being saved by a captivating stranger, a man who belongs to a world she cannot imagine. Reserved and scholarly, Sebastian St. Ives has been content without human desires - until they are reawakened by the delicate, brave Amelia, whom he is meant to protect. For the young woman has no idea she possesses the key to a ravenous vampire's dark victory. Now Sebastian must shield her from both a killer and his own growing attraction - or bond with her completely, and forever.

Predatory Review

PREDATORY by Nina Bangs, Alexandra Ivy, Dianne Duvall, Hannah Jayne Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Anthology Sensuality: HOT 4 Stars RT Rating These four fabulous authors give us lovely little tastes of their vampire worlds. These stories will be especially appealing to fans of the various series that these shorts fit into. It is always fun to get an additional glimpse into our favorite universes. In “Out of Control,” Ivy launches a new series featuring immortal sentinel Nikolo, who is trying to guard a lovely young scientist who doesn’t realize that her gifted handling of genetic material has put her in the crosshairs of a killer. However, he cannot seem to guard his heart. In Bangs’s “Ties That Bind,” a frightened girl is rescued from a funeral home — by a vampire. Duvall takes us to her Immortal Guardians world with “In Still Darkness,” where Richart is unable to keep away from a redheaded human, even though he knows that vampire hunting and humanity don’t mix. Jayne’s sexy fashionista Nina LaShay, of “High Stakes,” may be in New York City to promote her designs, but will her snarky barbs and killer outfits be enough to save her when she is the prime suspect in a murder? (ZEBRA, May, 384 pp., $7.99) Reviewed By: Bunny Callahan

Levet

I’ve had a few questions about my upcoming LEVET book. It’s a short-short story (around 15,000 words) and while it focuses on Levet it’s not his love-story which I’m still working on . There is another couple, Valla and Elijah. You’ll remember Valla as the nymph that Jaelyn was forced to leave behind in the slaver’s prison. I’ve always regretted leaving her there and needed to figure out a way for her to have her HEA. (Yes, I know she’s a character in a book, but she’s real to me). This is Levet’s coming home story. His opportunity to confront his family! Also, for those who are wanting the story in print, my publisher will be putting it in the back of DARKNESS AVENGED coming in June as a bonus novella!!! I think this should answer most questions!!! Alex

Night Owl Review

Woot! A fabulous review for Fear the Darkness!! Fear The Darkness Guardians of Eternity, #9 I have waited very patiently for this book and I have to say it did not disappoint. I can tell you guys from the bottom of my heart that Alexandra Ivy is one of my favorite authors. She has a way of writing that keeps the reader guessing, but the book still flows well. In Fear the Darkness, Cassie and Caine are on the run but it's not from anyone in particular. Cassie is a prophet and she is dragging Caine all over the nation to leave glimpses into the future for the vampires and werewolves that are on their trail. When the world is about to come to end it is Cassie's visions that will be the only thing to tip the balance in the good guys favor. Throughout all that happens Cassie and Caine still manage to come together as mates. This is truly a good book that will keep you on your toes. Book Blurb for Fear The Darkness Beautiful Cassandra is a Were, a prophet both vulnerable and defiant, blessed with visions that portend the fate of the world. A rare and delicate creature, Cassie must be protected at all costs. Enter Caine, a powerful cur turned pure-blooded Were whose recent tangles with a demon lord have left him in serious need of redemption. Caine is duty-bound to keep Cassie out of danger - and that means resisting his potent urge to seduce her. As Cassie's mysterious visions lead them in and out of danger, Caine believes he has found his true mate, the woman with whom he is bound for all eternity. Cassie is both charmed and frightened by Caine's magnetism, and unsure if he - or her feelings for him - can be trusted. But Cassie can't afford to doubt Caine now. A deadly enemy bent on destruction is closer than they realize - and only they can keep chaos from ruling the world. Night Owl Reviews Jan, 2013 4.00

A wonderful review from smexy books!!

Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright have partnered up on a new series that has started the paranormal romance genre off right in the new year! Bayou Heat is a set of two novellas that weave together to start a story arc that is guaranteed to please. So far two more double novella releases are planned. The first novella is Raphael’s story and introduces you to the world of magic lands, sexy puma shifters and the lush Louisiana Bayou. We immediately meet Ashe, the spirited daughter of a drunken, neglectful mother who is inexplicably pregnant with only flashes of memory of her mysterious lover. Recognizing Ashe as his mate and scenting his babe within her (I LOVE when these males use their…scent abilities *wink*), puma shifter Raphael sets out on a collision course that pits his magical race’s fears, ancient beliefs and desperate hope against the small chance that his unexpected and destined union with Ashe is the key to unlock the secret to saving the barren Wildlands. However, danger is paramount, when an unknown and unfamiliar enemy sets out to destroy this spark of life. Barely escaping the cross hairs of mysterious assassins, Raphael whisks Ashe and his unborn cub to his race’s sacred Wildlands where she can be protected and cared for, however, Ashe’s human nature requires the professional care of a OBGYN- and naturally Raphael demands a female doctor to care for his new mate. Rough edged and insanely close to his animal, Parish is charged with liaison duty and the string of events that brings Doctor Julia Cabot into the fold of the Wildland community is hilarious. Recently spurned in love and looking for a new direction, she is not remotely prepared when Parish comes barreling into her life. Parish harbors a deep hatred for humans but there is something about Julia that soothes his hunter spirit. Just as you think things are set to work out for the pair, the danger that Raphael and Ashe narrowly escaped has infiltrated the sacred magical land and poised to strike. The novellas are fast paced and unbelievably sexy- I mean taking a break to pant between page turns sexy- and draw you into this world of sensual awakening and love. The puma shifters are not your garden variety aggressive and possessive males. My favorite part is easily Julia’s first dinner at the boarding home Parish decides she will stay in where he can protect her (of course). Julia is aroused beyond measure and… "Perhaps you should retire, Miss Julia. Might I suggest a bath?" She sighed. "With soap." At first Julia was so consumed with the aggressive banter of the two males at the table she didn’t catch the woman’s meaning right away. But when she did, she closed her eyes and winced with humiliation. She was turned on thinking about Parish and every damn feline in the room could smell it… Ivy and Wright have broken the mold and crafted a smart and exciting tale that leaves you not only wanting more- but wanting EVERYTHING. I think I’ve found a great new world to escape to!
