Gratitude Giveaway Hop! #Thankful #LoveMyReaders #Giveaway

Thanks to Kathy for hosting this Blog Hop.
What a year!!!
This is the year an author stalked a reviewer to her house because of a bad review. Wrong move, lady. This is also the year an author went on a rant on Facebook about readers bugging her about what order to read her books and how they didn't pay her salary.Seriously? Which planet did she fly from?
Those who follow my Fanpage on Facebook read my lengthy response to this. All I can say is wake up and smell the dirt, lady. You don't piss off people you depend on for your livelihood. Like Bugs would say, "What a maroon. What an ignoramus. What a nincompoop."
Why did I give the above examples? Because you guys have been amazing and supportive I don't know where to start. I wouldn't write and make a living without your support, my dear readers and bloggers. In fact, it is hard to believe how successful the Runes series has been. Because of you, I have been a ranked teen author since 2013. Sure I move up and down, and get bumped off the top 100 a few times, but I always slide back in. Last time I checked, I was at #31.

(Psst! Chances are I've been pushed up, but I don't mind. I know that you'll bring me back.)
And just so you know, I'd love nothing more than to attend book signings and meet some of you, but I have a few littles ones who need my attention, some more than the others, so this is as good as it gets. So thank you for being there for me. Thank you for supporting my work. And thank you for talking to your friends about my books.
RUNES, the first book was published in May 2013, and I just released my fifth book in the series:
SOULS

Torin, Raine, and the gang will be back next year with more adventures. Eirik wants his story. From the moment he left for Hel to when we last saw him in Seeress, he's been through so much. Poor guy. And don't forget Andris, Ingrid, and Blaine. They all need to find their mates.
Now on to the goodies.

First Giveaway:
1) A signed paperback of Runes
2) A signed paperback of Immortals
2 winners
In the meantime, if you have an e-reader, you can get an e-copy of Runes for free on:

"That arrogant man didn’t just do that."

BLURB
I love Torin St. James...
I need his strength…
But someone from his past wants me dead.
Raine Cooper is certain of two things: her love for Torin St. James and her destiny to be a powerful seeress. But when she starts having premonitions, they are unclear and disturbing. Worse, they involve Torin. With her mother gone, her father dying, and her best friend in Hel, she is not sure who to talk to.
But when the visions become more personal and she foresees her future with Torin threatened by someone from his past, Raine becomes desperate for answers. Just her luck two new students arrive at her school and they seem to have answers. When with them, her powers are enhanced and her visions become clear. There is only one problem: Torin forbids Raine to see the two girls.
Can their love survive without trust?
TEASER
“Who said I’m playing.”
He braced himself on the door frame and lowered his head until he and I were on the same eye level.
“You told me to stay away from you. Unforgiveable. You implied our relationship might not last. Totally wrong and cruel. But the worst part, you said your feelings for me made you weak.”
His eyebrows shot up.
“Weak? Seriously? What in Hel’s Mist does that mean?”
He was serious.
“Are you forgetting what happened before I said those things?”
“So no apology?”
“No.” I was dying to, but he had to understand I wasn’t a breakable doll.
He stepped back and slammed the door in my face.
My jaw dropped. No, he didn’t. That arrogant man didn’t just do that.

July 15, 1998 I’m 16What, if anything, does your zodiac sign mean to you?I think that every person has aspects that relate to their zodiac sign. For example I am a Cancer and I can be very impulsive and very intense. How would you spend an unexpected day off?I would spend the day with Annisa. We are always so busy it would be nice to have a day where we could just lounge on the beach or lay around on the couch. Is your currently family close? Are they a source of support or stress? My family is extremely close. We all support each other and help alleviate stress. What is your relationship status as the start of the story? SingleWhom would you contact first to share good news? I hate to see her suffer and any time I try to help it only makes things worse. What makes your blood boil?Being manipulated or watching as someone that I care about is being manipulated and there is nothing I can do about it.What was your first impression of the heroine? From the moment I saw her I knew we were meant to be together. She was the most beautiful, caring and thoughtful person that I had ever met.How accurate was this first impression? Extremely accurate.

The Parker Harris Series Tour /Guest Post @AmythaMcclung

Why Choosing Your Setting is Important
The setting has the potential to make or break the validity of a story. For The Parker Harris Series I needed a location that would be natural for wolves in the area and that also had waterfalls. Cascades Idaho was a small town that came up in my search and the pictures of the area were exactly what I pictured for my story. I researched every aspect of Cascades so that it would seem as though I'd been there. After I released the book, a person that grew up in Cascades read it and said I captured the town perfectly and that was one of the best compliments I could have gotten in my opinion. In my NA series, I wrote the characters living in Nashville which is where I grew up. I've found that having a personal knowledge of the setting makes it even easier to really draw the perfect picture of what the character is experiencing. If you don't choose the right setting or research one thoroughly it can take away from the story especially for someone familiar with the city. My dad asked me once why I didn't just make up a random city like Gotham, etc. To me it seems to add a dose of reality if you use a real place. Especially a town like Nashville that has a large population and is a large tourist spot. It allows people to get lost in the story more, it gives it a feeling as though you're reading about real people. That's how I feel about it at least. I read a book once just because Nashville was in the title and I was excited to know all the places they visited because I'd grown up there!
